Built by a Doctor Who Needed It
Simple Functional AI was born in a real functional medicine practice, not a tech lab.
Dr. Tom McGuire is a chiropractor who runs Innate Living Center. For years, he wanted to add functional medicine to his practice, the kind of deep, root-cause work that actually changes lives. But the reality of running a busy clinic kept getting in the way.
Lab analysis, health plan creation, supplement protocols, clinical documentation. Layering all of that on top of an already full patient schedule wasn't realistic. The hours didn't exist. So for a long time, he did what most chiropractors do: he referred patients out to expensive functional medicine specialists, knowing most couldn't afford it.
Instead of giving up on the idea, he built SFAI. The goal was simple: automate the heavy documentation work, things like lab extraction, cross-checking against functional ranges, and drafting 12-week protocols, so that a chiropractor could actually offer functional medicine without doubling their working hours. The AI handles the paperwork. The doctor handles the patient.
He spent the better part of a year building SFAI, ran a private beta with select clients, and has been using it live with patients for two months. Every feature exists because he needed it. Now he's opening it to other practitioners who face the same problem: wanting to offer functional medicine but not having the hours in the day to do it manually.
His philosophy is straightforward: AI should handle the paperwork, doctors should handle the patients, and patient data should never be compromised.
The Problem
Hours of manual lab analysis, plan creation, and clinical documentation for every single patient.
The Idea
What if AI could handle the documentation, and the doctor could focus on the patient?
The Build
The better part of a year of development. Every feature built from real clinical needs.
Beta Launch
Private beta with select clients. Real patients, real labs, real feedback.
Live Platform
SFAI is live, powering real functional medicine practices with AI-assisted care.
โAI doesn't replace the doctor. It gives the doctor superpowers.โ
Not another tech company guessing at healthcare.
Built by a practitioner
SFAI was designed by a doctor who uses it every day in his own clinic, not a tech company guessing at clinical workflows.
Battle-tested in a real practice
Built over the better part of a year, beta-tested with select clients, and live with real patients. Every feature was shaped by the day-to-day reality of a working practice.
HIPAA from day one
Not a general AI tool adapted for healthcare. Built specifically for it. Encrypted, audited, and compliant from the first line of code.
Built to change outcomes.
Track Health Score, biological age, and biomarker improvements across every 12-week protocol.
